Shhhh…..Give an expensive look with low budget :p ………..

Every human being needs a beautiful life,a beautiful wife, a beautiful home, beautiful kids and thousands of beautiful things.
But reality is that the mighty God does not permit all the humans to live lavishly and spend and eat without even glancing up the bills.
There are in-numerous who have achieved huge piles of currencies in their bank lockers and there are people who are struggling each and every day working for companies who are sucking them up to the last breath and still hauling on them.
But somehow majority of them are able to build there home at some point of time.
This article is for that group of people with low budget but dream to beautify their sweet home :

  • The first key is to Camouflage Your Television -Nothing brings down the feeling of sophisticated luxury in a space quite like a huge black television placed front and center.
  • Simple yet majestic entrance-The first impression your home makes at the entrance. You can enjoy a stunning entrance by simply repainting your door. A majestic black will make your door and the entrance to your home unique and stylish. If you prefer, you can opt for bright, bold colors like blue or red – it all depends on the style of your home and your personal preference. You can also add small green touches for a minimal yet sophisticated look.
  • Include a Piece With History-Give your space a sense of wisdom and incorporate a piece with some patina and age to it. Anything from a mirror to a small side table or accessory will do the trick—the older the better. If it gives off an air of “I was purchased at a French flea market and came from an old château,” it will do the trick.
  • Furniture revival with new colours-Adding new colours to your home can totally transform it and make it look like you got new furniture. Just revive your old furniture with new colours and you will be amazed by the effect. Refresh storage units and cabinets to give your home a stylish new look without spending a lot of money.

  • Lighting Makes a Difference-Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can use to get the high-end look without the high-end price. Start by looking at flea markets and second-hand stores. You will get a unique piece at a budget-friendly price. Some pieces may require a little buffing or a new paint job, but can look like a million dollars for just a few bucks. In addition, be sure to have several different light sources, including table lamps and floor lamps throughout the home to increase the elegant feeling.
  • Small investments on storage space-No matter how small or seemingly unimportant, you should never underestimate any storage space in your home. Even the smallest spaces can hold something, like decorative items and beautify that area. Make small investments on storage space for your home and get huge returns – it is a great way to add style and have room for various items.

  • Housekeeping— A Clean, Uncluttered Home is a Must
Surprisingly, one of the most affordable ways to make your home look elegant on a budget is actually free. All you need to do is clean and declutter your home. Weekly dusting and vacuuming can actually make your home feel high-end.
  • Wooden shelves-Wood always looks beautiful, so if you need more storage space and want to beautify your home at the same time, you cannot go wrong with wooden shelves. They will compliment any decorative item you place on them – from vases and curios to photo frames and books. Invest in wooden shelves to give your home a stylish new look and get extra storage space.

  • Additional kitchen shelves-Installing additional shelves is a simple and affordable way to achieve a clutter-free and great-looking kitchen. You get extra storage space for your utensils and other items. Plus, you make sure that they are right at your fingertips whenever you need them. Convenience in the kitchen is everything and with this idea, you get just that.

  • Practical kitchen basins-If you want to avoid the mess and clutter in your kitchen, one simple yet fantastic idea is to install a two-basin sink. Wash in one of them and neatly stack plates, etc. on the other. They also look incredibly stylish so your kitchen will look more visually pleasing.

May the mighty God make you all have tons of money and you don’t have to struggle at each and every point of time

All about ‘Corian’

All about ‘Corian’

“Dude,it would be tough but face it,Corian is not a product but its a brand name!”

Yes you heard it right,
Corian is not a product but its a brand name of a solid surface material created by E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, and it has a bit of complex chemical combination of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate which would make some of them out there to hide their face encountering again the nightmares we used to face during our chemistry classes and with due respect lets get away from this and plunge to the our main subject
Corian.

These solid sufaces are manufactured in three thickness ,6 millimetres (0.24 in), 12 millimetres (0.47 in), and 19 millimetres (0.75 in).

Advantages

  • Very durable
  • Nonporous and stain-resistant
  • Available in many colors, patterns and finishes, including the look of natural stone
  • Seams (if any) are inconspicuous.
  • Color is solid throughout.
  • Shallow cuts or scratches can be removed with an abrasive pad.

Disadvantages of Corian Countertops

The main drawback to Corian countertops is that they are not heat resistant.  Because they are made of acrylic, they can scorch easily (sometimes beyond repair).  To avoid burn marks, it is strongly suggested that you use hotpads or other protective surfaces between your countertop and a hot pan.  You should also run cold water over hot pans, or in the sink, before putting a hot pan onto your Corian solid surface sink to prevent damage.

Some would suggest that because Corian countertops are synthetic, they don’t compare to the quality and appeal of natural surfaces like stone.  This of course is an individual choice.

Over time, Corian countertops require more frequent cleaning to maintain their finish and colour. Darker colors seem to need more attention than lighter colours.  The appearance of the finish on the countertop will likely change, even with proper care.  Refurbishing, however,  can be done by the owner.

Client reach, but how?

Client reach, but how?

In past few decades this world has changed enormously in terms of genetics, appearance, mindset, lifestyle, cravings, mental, physical and everything you have encountered.
In past as seen in the historical acts and plays, the vendors used to sit all day long and waited for their customers and generously offered what they tend to sell for living.

But with the gradual ticking of the years passng by, being a service provider has become quite challenging as the distance between the clients and service providers has just reduced to a distance between his/her hand and the pocket where he/she keeps the mobile phone secure, and just with one touch on the search engines for the service he/she needs can take away your oppurtunity away and drop it down at the bossom of your competitors.

So with a basic understanding how crucial it has become to increase your client reach lets highlight some of the points which an interior/contractor should dedicatedly follow to manage the traffic of his clients :

  • You should probably begin with family and friends (even if it seems like they don’t have any direct relationships the person who are trying to reach). In most cases, when you initially reach out to your network there will at least be a couple of leads that come from the people closest to you. If those leads are a good fit…there is your base.
  • Start with small jobs – eg advertise on google, facebook and someone which doesn’t know any interior designers, will contact you.Build on that relationship and other clients will join on the basis of referral.

  • Contact architectural firms which want to outsource jobs they might also want to pass small jobs to you
  • When a client looks for interior designing firms first they will looks firms past work for sure so make them attractive by using images, your service etc.
  • Lauch a website about your business and also launch some apps , do the digital marketing for that then surely you can get the client for your business
  • Carpenters, plumbers, contractors, engineers, electricians, etc are the most important link you can use to spread your work and your services, turn all these people into friends. You have to let your ego go to be friends with an electrician or a plumber or any agency who works on your site.

All of this points are your strength at starting point of your career and at the peak of your career. This points will help ypu get in the projects, when no one in the market knows you or your work. All you need is one small project to launch yourself in the market, and when the opportunity strikes, give best of your capability.

Legitimate work will earn you a respectful image!

Legitimate work will earn you a respectful image!

The caption sounds motivating and inspiring but the question arises why was it necessary for me to write a post which somehow questions the quality of work provided and judge it in terms of ‘how good was the product installed or rather was it durable ?’

Its obviuos that everyone wants to work respectfully and wants to give what his/her clients pays for,but problem arises when the clients starts bargaining for even Rs 1200 at a scenario where the he/she spends lakhs for the interior and ask for the same luxury with reduced cost.
With no options left the interior or the contractor has to cut down the quality of the material and finsh he was previously providing and in the worst case scenario when after some time when customer sees the shutters or the panels buldging out or the laminates starts stripping the inner plywood ,then question arises

“what kind of the service and quality has the interior or the contrator provided us ?”
“Alas!we are definately cheated”

So the main cause ,
Just for the sake of 0.5 or rather 5 percent or if I talk in terms of INR then for just INR 5,000 or at higher notes INR 30000, the customer gambles with his entire interior and also annoys the concerned interior and the dealers.
Its obvious the concerned interiors and dealers are not going to pay off from their margins and the profits, for the realtion the client builds just few days ago and they have to cut down the quality and I am damn sure they don’t feel good for it.

But obviously like a dirty old fish toxicates the whole pond in the same way there are people or rather wolfs who have developed the habbit to cheat the client as their professional priority.
But clients don’t worry they will happen to you only if your badluck is facing worst time.

The only request to clients out there waitng for their interiors :
Sir/madam,
If you can afford an interior then you can also afford some thousands for which you bargain for hours and depreciate your relation with your interior or contractor .

And lastly to the interiors and contractor out there waiting for their clients :
Mates,
Never compromise with the quality you provide,if the budget doesn’t allow for the type of finish and quality the client works then please LET GO ,as if you cut down the quality,it will always be you whose image would be compromised by your client at each and every meeting, parties, kitty parties he/she visits .

Hence
It must have justified the caption

Legitimate work will earn you a respectful image

Conceptualization and Visualization

Conceptualization and Visualization

With the great words comes the great explanations

Naah its not encrypted and written by any great legends ,its just a hunch .
Without a delay ,
Conceptualization is the development of the philosophy and concepts that lead to a concrete design idea. It includes the process of inventing or contriving an idea or explanation and formulating it in your mind. Visualization is any technique for creating images, diagrams, or animations to communicate that idea. The concept of conceptualization and visualization go hand-in-hand in the design process; one leads to the other.

The Process

The design process begins with the ability to think, create, develop, and communicate ideas on the conceptual level. You will often employ the basics of designing, using your knowledge of color, light, fabrics, etc. to formulate an idea. Emphasis is placed on idea-making techniques through conceptual sketching and analysis. Well-developed drawing and visualization tools will enable an idea to come to fruition. You will use your skills to communicate a design idea through visual media. This might include using the following steps:

1. Strategic Planning – Gathering the necessary information and facts.
2. Conceptual Design – Devising an initial design concept.
3. Visualization – Developing detailed plans, sketches or drawings.

Conceptualization is something that one has to develop it gradually through brainstorming everyday with new design concepts ,everyday sketching up the visuals about a space that comes to your mind and making it better with every erased lines.
It does not develop just by reading few posts or just attending some lavish seminars.

Its something you incorporate in yourself only if you really can visualize things.

Hardware for my new home!

Hardware for my new home!

Being an Interior or a contractor with all kinds of skills to blend the color schemes and creative designs together in one project to give the best of theirs tends to fade when they come to the stage where the furniture is ready and now needs the hardware to be selected and installed .
The only option left with them is to call the branded company persons who comes to their rescue with a motto to serve them the best and complete their weekly targets.
But on the other hand some customers who tend to be smart enough to go and buy the fittings and fixtures from the hardware dealers themselves end up with the buying the shit quality and thinking by their inner self “I am the best person to get discounts”.

Its not so easy to deal with the hardware part for the home designing and installation as their are millions of fixtures produced by innumerous number of companies.
I have seen in my past professional life how the dealers sit on their chairs and wait for the customers and when the time comes sell the product or a fixture which may not be suitable for the particular application to the customer and thicken their pockets with infinite margins.
The main problem arises when a humble client gives the sole responsibility to the interior. The not so smart interior visits the dealers and bargains for the discounts or the prices and he/she also ends up with the shit quality material unknowingly and installs it and after completion when gets started to used up the clients and due to the quality, the shutters and panels start coming out of the carcase, that is the point where the IMAGE OF THE INTERIOR OR CONTRACTOR IS RUINED.

Its obvious as the client is right in his own way as he is cheated ,
The interior was unaware of the product knowledge,
The dealer is also not wrong as he is there to do the business and has to attend number of people eating his head for discounts.

The key for the hardware selection :

  1. Ask the company persons to visit the site and provide them with the exact layouts with the dimension.
  2. Please don’t ask the prices and discounts with them as they are only responsible for techniqualities .
  3. Stick to the quote provided by them and don’t go astray by the pitches of the dealer to choose some other product or brand whether he considers that the brand he is providing is the Hercules of all.

How not to get cheated when buying Plywood

How not to get cheated when buying Plywood

In this era of Urbanization and modernization and cheatization we all are in a phantasm of getting cheated and henceforth we apply all over efforts mentally and physically to refrain from getting stripped up by the shopkeepers even if we step to them to buy a pack of cigrettes.
But at the end folks every other person is far more cunning and clever sitting out there on there white finished rocking chairs waiting for the customers on whom he can impose all the methodologies he has gained through experince to make you a bigger “BAKRA” then his previous customer.
SO , here I come with a eyeopening blog in which I would highlight some basic rules and points which should be kept in mind by the person who is going to purchase Plywoods for his ongoing  site after reading this.

  1. Test reports – Any genuine manufacturer would have factory lab test reports as well third party test report of their plywood panels. Ask for these from the dealer before purchasing. A good manufacturer generally also offers guarantee on the panels, ask for a certificate if they have one.
  2. Shouldn’t have too much overlapping of these layers of plies while composing. The lines of different layers on the side profile of plywood should be running straight. If they overlap each other too much, its not good.
  3. Look for CM/L numbers stamped on top of the plywood sheets which you can look up online to get the factory details. CM/L numbers are the license numbers of the factories for different grades they are certified to manufacture according to the ISI norms. If the sheet doesn’t have a CM/L number on it, move on.
  4. Prefer Eucalyptus (red Core) plywood over Poplar as its higher in density as well as strength.
  5. Buy according to the purpose you need it for. For indoor furniture, which isn’t going to be exposed to water, use BWR grade (moisture resistant), for any furniture which has a chance of getting in contact with water often such as kitchen furniture, use BWP(boiling water Proof) / Marine Ply. You can test a marine ply for its waterproof characteristic by taking a cut sample and boiling it in a pressure cooker for 7 whistles. The layers of the ply shouldn’t delaminate in a genuine case as per standard marine ply. If it splits, its probably not a marine ply.
